NEII Reference Group
The NEII programme is being delivered by the Bureau of Meteorology in collaboration with a number of partners. Its success will be realised through technical and strategic engagement with the national environmental information community and through close collaboration with policy, operational and research sectors.
The NEII Programme has established the NEII Reference Group to:
- provide implementation advice
- provide a cross-agency forum to develop and implement a strategic agenda
- establish a community-of-practice
- establish working groups to address specific issues that arise.
Reference Group members include representatives from the relevant Australian Government agencies and from national environmental information infrastructure initiatives such as National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) facilities and Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs).
Members of the Reference Group are from the following organisations:
- Atlas of Living Australia

NEMSR working group
In addition to the NEII Reference Group, a NEMSR working group was established in April 2017. The NEMSR working group provides an information sharing mechanism between the NEII programme and NEMSR stakeholders, to develop and shape NEMSR policy and to help the programme make informed decisions about future network inclusions.
